Online marketing and social media marketing have grown in importance in a short period of time. Arguably, Facebook has been the driving force behind a lot of attention that has been given to online activities and promotion. This is not limited to Facebook (Facebook marketing) by any means. At the same time, monitoring our Facebook and our page’s activity has become important as businesses.
We need to know what is going on, and what is hitting the right note with our followers. When we are running a business, we need statistics because we are not always the one who is sitting there creating that content. We may be paying an agency to develop and share content on our behalf. Having numbers to help us monitor and analyse what is working, and what is not, is important for decision makers. Here is a look at the tools we can use to monitor activity on our pages.
- Facebook Insights. Facebook limits what third-party developers and applications can monitor. The Facebook Page Insights tool, therefore, continues to be an important product supplied by Facebook to allow page administrators to monitor activity. Facebook has made some changes to the information we can find with this tool of recent. The new metric, “People Talking About”, is designed to show a rating of compelling content.
- WebTrends. WebTrends has an analytics package that helps users track activity on their Facebook page. The tool is designed to assist developers track information on their custom tabs. Remember, Facebook does not allow other applications to collect data. Despite this, the WebTrends tool does have some interesting ways to gather information, such as, monitoring flash applications within Pages, or standalone applications.
- CoreMetrics. Just like any other marketing, we need to monitor our return on investment with Facebook. If we have a number of staff working purely on our Facebook page, and we want to know what we are getting from that. The CoreMetrics tool works to monitor the influence Facebook has on visits to a company’s website, and other relative activities. Remember, in most cases, we are still trying to gather interest in our main company website or websites. Facebook has not replaced them, but it is a useful way to find and get users interested in us.
The step-by-step approach developed by your SEO (search engine optimisation) will always remain important no matter what social media you are using. Optimisation is all about knowing which terms are relevant, and using them and the appropriate content in the correct places. Applying this strategy to our social media activities only makes sense. We have tools to monitor our ranking, and we have tools to monitor the number of user searches. Our Facebook and other social media content should be an extension of our existing content. We should use social media as a platform to find our optimised content elsewhere. This also means our content inside our social media platform is also optimised for relevance and interest, and for search. Summing up, we can use these tools to monitor activity, but we cannot forget our mission of staying relevant to content for our business.

Nice sum of the Facebook tools. Social media sites now define most of the traffic you are getting. With many people having a Facebook, twitter and Google plus account, we can say that by employing the features of these big social media sites, you will be able to expand your community of visitors.

This is a good overview, but you really cannot beat having a custom landing page for facebook traffic that is highly optimized. Not only do you get a better idea of traffic, you get them on your own servers trying to convert.
I highly recommend getting an account with SEOMOZ or Raventools to better track converting traffic.
Raventools and Coremetric is an amazing combo to do SEO and conversion rate optimization as well.
excellent issues altogether, you simply gained a emblem new reader. What might you suggest in regards to your put up that you just made a few days ago? Any sure?
This is a great deal for SEO. This integration will perhaps be more likely to be considered to be well monitored and to deal with some issues about third party.

Hi friends, its wonderful paragraph concerning educationand entirely explained, keep it up all the time.
You can compete on Google for some low competition searches, and it’s a good idea to have a landing page that converts visitors into customers straight away. I can make you a custom welcome page really cheap.
