In my earlier tutorials I have talked about how to install WAMP Server and we also learnt who to configure the phpMyAdmin.
If you have not completed the previous Tutorials I would recommend first complete and move further.
You can download WordPress Latest Version here
Coming back to WordPress installation make sure your wamp server is active and click on the WAMP icon in your task bar and click on www directory menu. In the www directory create a folder and name as you wish. Unzip your wordpress and copy all file and folders from the wordpress folder to your folder created in www directory.
Before we continue wordpress installation we have to create a database in phpMyAdmin. To create database go to phpMyAdmin under MySql Localhost just add the name of your wish and simple click on Create Button without change anything.
Open your browser and type http://localhost/YOURFOLDERNAME you will be presented with the following screenshot.
When you click on Create Configuration File button then you will be presented with the following screenshot.
Here you can just click on let’s Go Button. Enter the required details in order to make connection to the database.
For time being you can just enter Database Name, Username , Password and leave Database host and Table Prefix as default. After entering the details click on Submit Button and you will be presented with the following screenshot.
Just click on Run the Install Button and enter the WordPress Admin credentials to complete the installation.
Don’t worry this details can be changed later from the Admin area. Just click Install WordPress. Your will be presented with the following screenshot within few seconds.
With this you have installed WordPress in your Computer using WAMP. You can login in the WordPress Area and start playing to learn more.
This complete the installation and do let us know and share your experience here in the comments section and if your like please do tweet and share in your social network.

Thanks Patricia, I have been trying to make things really easy and simple so that every one can understand.
Really nice post and you have described everything very clearly about this post.
Good job Shariff, this information will really help people in installing WordPress since it is a very useful software and more of it the way you explained the things is fabulous. Every thing is clean, clear and precise.
No matter if some one searches for his required thing, therefore he/she needs to be available that in detail, so that thing is maintained over here.
I have added wamp and also have used xampp and have the same issue with both.
When I go to phpmyadmin to add the wordpress database I do not see the field
MySQL Local Host
Create new Database
