In this tutorial I will try to explain how easily you can add favicon to your WordPress blog or site powered by Thesis 2.0. Before adding favicon first lets understand what is favicon and it can be helpful our site and blog.
What is a Favicon?
In short “FAVORITE ICON” is called as Favicon and also known as bookmark icon, website icon and shortcut icon is way to brand yourself or your website or blog which can be easily recognized or found easily by the user in their browsers tabs and in favorites in Internet explorer and Bookmarks in all the other browsers.
Favicon image is a .ico image file with three different sizes 16×16, 32×32 or 40×40. You choose any of this size to create your own sizes.
If you are not aware of creating your favicon you can use any of the image editors like Photoshop, firework etc or any of your favorite editors.
To convert your image file to an .ico file you can use the free services able if you Google around your will file many. Otherwise you can a free service from w3shool.
Once you have converted you image file to an .ico file upload the icon to your root folder and place the below code inside the head tags.

Adding Favicon To your Thesis 2.o website
Well Thesis 2.0 has made our life more easier, however it is not mandatory to have a favicon image to be converted to an .ico file. You can upload any image of the above sizes and use the built-in default favicon feature found in HTML Head Editor.
Thesis 2.0 will automatically add the above code in your head tags without you being altering the codes.
Installation
Follow this simple steps to add favicon to your site/blog.
1. Click on Head Editor in Thesis Menu, and hover around to open favicon setting page, for reference check the screenshot.
2. Once the setting page popups browse to the selected image from your computer and click the Add Image GREEN BUTTON, for reference check the screenshot.
3. Once every thing is been done you can just click on SAVE HTML HEAD green button on your right side to add the favicon to your site/blog.
